Why join Rotary? Rotary International is a global organization with over 1.4 million members in 46,000+ clubs worldwide 1 . Rotary members are passionate individuals who are committed to making a positive impact in their communities and around the world. Membership in a Rotary or Rotaract club is by invitation only, and it is open to individuals who share the organization’s values and are willing to contribute to the community . There are many reasons why people choose to join Rotary. Some of the benefits of joining Rotary include: Leadership Development Rotary is an organization of successful professionals. Team building, fundraising, public speaking, planning, organization, and communication are just a sampling of the leadership skills that club members can exercise and enhance. Members can participate in the three day Rotary Leadership Institute courses offered at various times during the year.
